Comparative study of energy Production from Photovoltaic, Solar Chimney, and Concentrating Solar Power Tower

This book presents a comparison between three solar technology systems which are photovoltaic, solar chimney and concentrated solar power tower. The comparison considers techno-economic factors and parameters, in which a case study is conducted in Lebanon to build a 100 MW power plant. This book consists of four chapters. The first three chapters study each system alone. In the fourth chapter, a comparison of the three systems is done to build a 100MW power plant in Lebanon. Finally, some solutions are suggested to increase the power generation in Lebanon and solve the problem of electricity generation and interruption. Lebanon is a country in Western Asia. It is bordered by Syria to the north and east and Israel and Palestine to the south, while Cyprus is west across the Mediterranean Sea. Lebanon’s location at the crossroads of the Mediterranean Basin and the Arabian hinterland facilitated its rich history and shaped a cultural identity of religious and ethnic diversity. At just 10,452 km2 (4,036 square miles), it is the smallest recognized sovereign state on the mainland Asian continent.
